Investment Management

Working with some of the top money managers in Canada and globally, we have steered our clients' investment assets through bull and bear markets and never wavered from our approach throughout. Our process is simple. It is the discipline to remain consistent in its application that rewards our clients with long-term success in achieving their goals.

Following extensive conversations to determine our client's goals and objectives, identifying constraints and taking into account risk tolerance and investment horizon, we develop appropriate investment policies and strategies. We then implement these through portfolio construction by engaging a select group of money managers with outstanding long-term track records.

We add value by remaining vigilant and evaluating the performance of these managers, however we do not believe that short-term market fluctuations should result in significant changes to portfolio construction.  We do not deviate from our approach by chasing returns, or by being seduced by marketing gimmicks posing as investment strategies.  Our patience and confidence in these managers have served our clients well.

Risk Management & Estate Planning

Once again, following extensive discussions, we analyze our clients’ needs and objectives and make recommendations that assist in ensuring that financial obligations are met when a client dies or becomes sick or injured.

Working closely with some of the top tax and estate planning experts in Canada, we have extensive experience in structuring insurance portfolios that provide peace of mind as well as offer the potential for significant tax shelter and investment opportunities.

Whether we are recommending a sophisticated tax-shelter universal life strategy to a high net worth individual, a term life insurance contract to protect a family from the loss of the primary income earner, or a critical illness or disability insurance contract to protect an entrepreneur from financial distress due to an illness, our clients always know they are getting a recommendation that includes the right amount and the right type of coverage to meet their needs.

Financial Planning

Some clients are looking for an assessment of their financial health. For these people, we offer a financial planning service that can tackle a single topic such as Retirement Planning or an extensive report that delves into every aspect of one’s financial life.

This fee-based service has developed into an annual check-up for some clients while others are satisfied with a one-time report.
